Big Wave / Tow-in News:

Hawaiian Big Wave Season Opener a huge and impressive event

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 December 2004: - - The Big Swell that hit Hawaii on Wednesday December 15th was undoubtedly one of the biggest in years. Throughout the night, the rumbling of the huge building surf hitting the reefs could be heard at Jaws and on the North Shore. The Eddie at Waimea awoke to waves exceeding 40 feet at daylight and was a GO. 60 to 80 foot waves were reported at Jaws and 45 to 50 tow-teams showed up. Log Cabins produced an impressive session.
