Dates announced for 2nd Womens Pipeline Championship

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 14 November, 2005 : - - Banzai productions has announced dates for the second annual womenıs Pipeline event. The event in 2006 will be March 1-14th. This is an upgrade from last years 6 day waiting period to a two week window and three days of competition if needed. The surfing portion of the event has also been upgraded to a one star ASP tour event and may be upgraded even more depending on sponsorship.

They will again carry the womenıs Bodyboarding world tour event and a longboard competition. The top pipeline extreme riders will be here in Hawaii to take on the challenge of the most exciting wave in the world, Pipeline. Last Season 15 year old Alana Blanchard of Kauai won the shortboard Division in 4-6 foot surf. Kira Llewllyn spun and rolled her way to the Bodyboarding title and Kim Hamrock, aka, 'Danger Woman' lead the charge in Longboarding. It was a wild and wooly affair with only two rideable days in a month.

They are also announcing the premier of Pipegirlz Two. This is a docuaction film about last years historic event, the T & C Womenıs Pipeline Championship. The premier date is December 4th at Breakers restaurant in Haleiwa. Iron woman Crystal Dzigas is featured on the cover. Crystal took two second places in 2005 in shortboarding and longboarding.

More Information on the event is coming.  Money will be raised to support the 2006 competition. Banzai are looking forward to working with all of their previous sponsors and developing new support for the event.
