First ever Tow-In contest set for Laje da Jagua, Brazil

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 November, 2005 : - - Laje de Jagua will welcome the first Brazilian tow-in event between the 15th of April and 30th of May of 2006, organised by Atowinj (Association of Tow-in of Jaguaruna) and the Jaguaruna city council. The event was conceptualized by big wave rider and native of Rio Grande do Su, Zeca Scheffer, president of the AGT - Tow-in Gaucho Association. The  event is exclusive for an selection of invited contestants.  

Some names already confirmed are Carlos Mock, Eraldo Gueiros, Romeu Bruno, German of Maresias, João Capilé, Ricardo Azevedo, Zeca Scheffer, Fabiano Tissot, Sylvio Mancusi, Jorge Pacelli, Haroldo Ambrosio, Everaldo Duck, Rodrigo Resende, Danilo Couto, Peruvian Luisfer, Flavio Corporali and Dê da Barra.  

“Already we have commitments of R$ 50 thousand that will be distributed between the champions of the biggest best categories Pipe and Biggest Wave.  Now we are searching for sponsors for make the necessary structure viable”, explains Scheffer.
