The national Roxy Learn To Surf Tour will be taking place at every premier beach around South Africa

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 November, 2006 : - - The eighth edition of the ROXY WAHINE CUP, South Africa’s only stand-alone women’s surfing event, will take to the waters of Suncoast Beach on Durban’s Golden Mile on December 1, 2 and 3,  2006. 

The event has five divisions, namely ‘Novice’ Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 as well as the premier Open Division.   Big entries in the novice division are the norm for this event, as the winner receives one year’s full sponsorship from Roxy.  

Once again, the contest will also launch the highly successful ROXY LEARN TO SURF TOUR, which takes place on the east and west coasts of South Africa simultaneously at several premier beach resorts, ending on January 4, 2006. 

Girls participating in the tour will be coached by former surfing champions Kenny Matthews (KZN), Riehan Slabbert (Eastern Province) and Roxy Towill (Western Province).
