Worlds First Retail Indoor 'FlowRider' Lets Customers ³Ride the Wave² While Shopping
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 30 November, 2006 : - - ORLANDO Adrenalina, an extreme sports multi-media and manufacturing company, announced the opening of its first retail store Adrenalina: The Extreme Store, which is located at the Florida Mall in Orlando. The newly opened store will feature the world¹s first-ever FlowRider within a retail store, a cutting-edge wave ramp machine that uses compact wave technology to create in-store surfing and boarding experiences for patrons.
The Adrenalina retail store, like our television programs and magazines, will target our key audience demographics‹ the Y generation and action sports enthusiast,² said Adrenalina President Jeffrey Geller. ³We¹re happy to offer our customers the chance to jump on our unique indoor FlowRider. Our one-of-a-kind wave ramp will make the Adrenalina store a destination, not just a place to shop.
Adrenalina will stock a variety of hard to find clothing and equipment for sport enthusiasts. The store will include equipment for almost every extreme sport including, skateboarding, BMX, Mountain Bike, surfing, wakeboarding, paintball, Moto X, skydiving and more. The Adrenalina store will carry its popular, easy-to-wear clothing line along with other extreme sportswear produced by top name companies like Billabong, Roxy, Volcom, Quiksilver, Element, Vans, Oakley, Reef, O¹Neil, Rip Curl and Fox Racing.
It¹s not every day that a customer has the chance to try out their newly purchased board shorts and oversized towel while showing off their skills on an in-store, killer wave,³ said Geller. ³This store will provide consumers with a truly new and interactive shopping experience!
The FlowRider gives Adrenalina customers the opportunity to experience a specially constructed wave ramp that pushes water up the ramp at over 60 miles per hour creating similar conditions to surfing or boogie boarding. While visiting the store, patrons can register to reserve time on the new FlowRider.
The Adrenalina store¹s official grand opening is scheduled for Friday, December 8, 2006. Grand opening events will include FlowRider competitions and demonstrations, extreme sports athletes and celebrities autograph signings, local entertainment and more.
