Stolen Surfboard
$1,000 Reward For Orange Al Merrick Stolen In Cardiff
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 December, 2006 : - - On Friday Dec 22nd between 3:30 - 4:30, my 2006 White Ford F-150 (8" lift, 20" rims, grill, ect.) was stolen from Pipes beach in Cardiff. In it among other things was a solid orange Al Merrick. This board should be easy to identify and I am offering a $1,000 reward for information leading me to the person in possession of it. I don't want the board/truck back as much as I want to use the orange board and its uniqueness to help me establish a starting point in uncovering the thieves and their operation.
Its time for the surfing community to band together and fight back against the age old stalking tactic of watching surfers hide their keys. I am an industry guy, I care about ALL surfers and ALL breaks . . . consider my efforts a public service to preserve the safety and good vibe that surfing stands for. Forward all leads to stolenorange@hotmail.com
The Board: 6'4" Al Merrick M-BM, solid orange under the glass. Future fin system. There are 3 additional icon logos - No Fear logo, Xcel Logo and Spy Logo. They could be easily taken off but the board will still be orange and has some permanent identifying marks on it. For photo of board and more information check out the below link.
