Sole Technology CEO Teams Up with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tree Media to Create the Environmental Film
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 August, 2007 : - - Lake Forest, CA - Pierre André Senizergues, founder and CEO of Sole Technology, parent company for etnies, etnies Girl, éS, Emerica, Altamont and ThirtyTwo, was in attendance at the Hollywood green carpet premiere of The 11th Hour at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California on August 8.
Also in attendance were professional surfers and environmental activists, Keith Malloy, Chris Malloy and Dan Malloy. As an executive producer on the film, Senizergues teamed up with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tree Media to create the highly anticipated environmental documentary.
A strong advocate of the environment, Senizergues supports the film in hopes to create awareness and discussion around the issues facing the planet and to motivate people to reduce the size of the footprint they leave behind. The 11th Hour,a feature length documentary, produced, directed and written by Leonardo DiCaprio, examines the state of the global environment, and includes visionary and practical solutions for restoring the planet's struggling ecosystems.
As a skateboarder and action sports enthusiast, protecting our environment is important we need cleaner air to skate, cleaner water to surf and fresh snow on the slopes to snowboard, said Senizergues.
As a citizen of humanity, I’m concerned about the state of our amazing planet the quality of our lives is declining everyday by our own actions. With this movie, I hope to create awareness around the environmental issues we are currently facing. It’s not too late for us make a difference.
The 11th Hour will be in theaters in Los Angeles and New York City on August 17. The film also will be screened in San Diego during the Action Sports Retailer tradeshow on Saturday, September 8.
The film features dialogues with experts from all over the world, including former Soviet Prime Minister, Mikhail Gorbachev, renowned scientist Stephen Hawking, former head of the C.I.A., R. James Woolsey, and sustainable design experts, William McDonough and Bruce Mau, in addition to over 50 leading scientists, thinkers and leaders who present the facts and discuss the most important issues that face our planet.
