Who shot Kelly? help us find the source of unique photo

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 May, 2008 : - - The most photographed surfer in history pops up everywhere, from supermarket scandal sheets, fan blogs and paparazzi sites to the most erudite and respected media in the world. Whether he's surfing for peace in Israel, strumming with Eddie and Ben on a chilly night in San Clemente, or double bogeying on the back nine, there's always some one snapping. It's feasible, therefore, that Kelly Slater does not remember every published photo of himself, even one as striking as this.

"There are a hundred interesting chrome dome portraits of Kelly," says his co-author Phil Jarratt, currently putting the finishing touches on "Kelly Slater: For The Love", due out from Chronicle Books in the US later this year. "But this one has a really special quality. It puts you inside Kelly's head, and because this book is very much a personal statement, we'd love to use it.

Problem is, I can't find the photographer! I've thought I've tracked it down a dozen times and come up with similar shots, but not quite as resonant. If some one out there in the broader Surfers Village can help, I'd be grateful. Email Phil Jarratt at info@surfersvillage.com
