This weekend, Fistral beach will be hosting the 5th annual XPY event

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 September, 2008 : - - Entries are flowing in across all four categories, such as English men’s champion Tom Butler (Newquay) will be making an appearance along with other top names such as last years winner Stuart Campbell (Woolacombe) in the pro junior category.

In the under 16’s we have Toby Donachie (St Merryn), currently second on the ratings on the UK Pro surf tour, and  reigning British under 16’s champion Josh Piper (Newquay), along with other top names such as young gun Harry Timson (Newquay), which means there should be fireworks!

In the girls division, appearances will include tour leader Zoe Sheath (Isle of Wight), who has yet to loose an event in her division this year and 2nd place standing Lucy Campbell (Woolacombe), definitely one to watch over the next few years!

In the Under 12’s Ed Smith (Liskeard) and Dale Foster (Newquay), two of the best up and coming surfers will compete in that division. But also coming to possibly spoil the party is nine year old Will Bailey (Woolacombe) who won the last event on the Under 12 UKPST.

 

 

Top prizes this year on top of the prize money for each 1st place holder, a brand new xbox console along with a bunch of Oakley goodies across all four finalists! Also special trophies included in the event are the prestigious XPY highest scoring wave trophy, and the Globe, ‘Time to go big! Biggest Manoeuvre challenge!’, both trophies awarded with top goodies!

Also being a 2 star rated pro junior on the UKPSA tour, with double the points, and double the cash up for grabs, the surfers will be eager to rack up the points, to get hold of all the goodies, so come down this weekend and get amongst it!
