The ASP LQS 2-Star Real B Voice Longboard Pro kicks off

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 June, 2009 : - - The ASP LQS 2-Star event, the Real B Voice Longboard Pro Taito presented by Kaido, commenced this morning at 9am with the Round of 64 at Taito, Isumi City, Chiba, Japan.

This morning, the local weather in Taito was rainy and first call was 7:00 following a next call at 8:30 when ASP Japan Tour Manager, Masao Ogawa called for action to start at 9:00. The positive surf reports along with positive weather for later today gave me confidence to call an 9:00 start,hOgawa said.

There was a bit of onshore wind with two-feet of swell hitting Taito Beach this morning. Reigning ASP World Longboard Champion Bonga Perkins (HAW) is ready again for more action this year and will be seeded No. 1 this season again. Another Hawaiian, Keegan Edwards (HAW), is another surfer with high potential.

North America`s young gun, Christian Wach (USA), showcased his performance today with a 9.00 out of a possible 10, one of the best waves of the day.

Domestic longboarders took the front row as 2008 ASP Japan Tours top-ranked Nobuhiro Ogashira (JPN) has always shown the world with his classic style nose-riding to blend with excellence. All-time Japanese legend Kenji Miyauchi(JPN) is back in his golden days shape from last autumn at the Hyuga Pro presented by Asahi Soft Drinks.

Miyauchi is ready to show elegance as he showed when he totally dominated the era years ago. Claude Maki (JPN) is devoted to the ASP LQS series this year as he was before and totally can make the show his own. The top young guns Taiki Mori (JPN) and Tsukasa Tsujishima (JPN) are ready for their own era to come anytime. Both renowned top Longboarders show the length of the high performance.

The Sandbars are in fine shape this early summer and Taito Beach Chiba is ready to host international longboardings finest actions.
